Did You Know that SharePoint 2010 will require 64-bit SQL Server

This is information coming from ITworld: SharePoint 2010 will need a 64-bit version of SQL Server and it can not support Net Explorer half-dozen, in keeping up with Microsoft. This release will primarily focus on the consumer side of things according to the director of Microsoft SharePoint Server, throughout his conference session. Microsoft will release that beta to a choosen group. SharePoint 2010 can run on the sixty four-bit version of Windows Server 2008 and on SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Some ask, also, if there are any updates about whether SharePoint Portal Services will integrate well with SQL server 2005? SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services succeed equally well with either SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005. SQL Server 2005 will not enable any new SharePoint Merchandise add-ons. However, SQL Server 2005 will offer an improvement in performance, and SP2 allows Windows SharePoint Services to run with SQL Server 2005.
